History
[edit]Little history can be found about the Slabtown congregation. It is possible that this is where the Goodfield congregation originated. Meetings were held in the Klopfenstein barn near Farnisville and Slabtown. Early Members were Val and Lena Maninger, Val had been catholic in Germany, and Lena was a member of a local Amish congregation. They joined the Evangelical Baptist church soon after getting married.
