History

[edit]

in 1851, a group of members of the AC faith including Christian and Elizabeth Sauder moved from Germany to America. They held home meetings in the Pensylvania area for about 5 years before moving to Tazwell County, IL.

As time rolled on, many AC families moved to and from the area. Once Automobiles were available, they began driving the 120 miles to Union City on Sundays. In 1980, it was decided that there were enough families to establish a permanent church building in the Philadelphia suburbs.
