About This Site[edit]While we do not look to Samuel Froehlich as anything more than a man working out his salvation, we appreciate the revival he sparked that not only revived the Radical Reformation, but also sparked revival in the stagnant State church. This movement has reached 6 continents, and many language groups. Froelich did not want to start a church, or sect, he wanted to revive the whole of Christianity. His preaching of a changed life(New Birth), believers baptism, and many other things that the Christian Church today takes for granted resulted in his expulsion from the state church. Traveling Germany and Switzerland as an outlaw preacher, his preaching ignited the Holy Spirit in many from the nominal reformed state church, The Mennonite community that had grown legalistic, and people from the world. In 1832, he performed believer's baptism on 38 of these renewed believers. The communion on Pentecost Sunday of the same year is today considered to be the birth of the Evangelical Baptist Church. The next several years resulted in missionary activity that reached from Western Europe, into Eastern Europe, and across the ocean to North America. This activity was fueled by both persecutions that kept the believers moving from town to town, and by Froelich's rule that no more than 2 ordained ministers should attend the same service. If more than 2 ministers showed up at a meeting, the extras would go into town and find a group of people to preach to. The next 150 years would see both growth and division, Here we celebrate, and document that movement. |

Americas[edit]In the Americas, The Evangelical Baptist Church is known as the the Apostolic Christian church. IN Jamaica, the church is branded as the E3 Church. North America[edit]The Apostolic Christian Church of America, and Apostolic Christian Church(Nazarean) were formed in the early 1900s as the result of cultural differences. Reunification talks as early as 1916 resulted in reffering to each other as "Sister Churches." Unlike other branches of the Froelich Family of churches, membership is respected across most of the ACCA and ACCN with closed events such as Testimonies/Provings being open to members of both subdemoninations. Congregations are found in the following countries US Congregations, Canadian Congregations, Mexican Congregations, along with Missions in various countries. The German Apostolic Christian Church Was formed in 1932 as a result of unresolved disagreements from the earlier split. This had started in Europe around 1901. The splinter group was headed by the elder that was instrumental in causing the 1904-7 split in the US. This church called itself the Christian Apostolic Church until 1955. The Nazarean Christian Congregation, is the result of a split during World War II which had to do with disagreements in caving to Communist demands in Yugoslavia. This church also split into two sides during the early 2000s. The Christian Apostolic Church was formed in 1955. They retain what they feel is the original teachings of the Evangelical Baptist Church. The Apostolic Christian Faith Church was formed in 2012 as a result of traditional and doctrinal differences in the Apostolic Christian church of America. Members have retained what they believe are the church's traditional teachings and doctrine. The E3 Church in Jamaica is a member of the Apostolic Christian Church Family. Pastors are ordained by the North American AC Elders. South America[edit]In South America there are many ACCN churches in Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, and possibly other countries. There are also Missions in Paraguay, and Brazil. |
Europe[edit]The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptists(ETG), are a modern branch of the original Evangelical Baptist Church. The Nazareans Are a large group that came out of the Balkan and Slavic countries, they have the most contact with the Americas and Australia. They had close to 200,000 members before the rise of communism, but are much smaller now. The Evangelical Anabaptist(German Apostolic Christian Church)(GET) in Europe is a result of a split in the Evangelical Baptist Church around 1901. This group had a strong influence on the Apostolic Christian Church of America until around 1932. As of 2025, many of these congregations use the name "Old Mennonite". The Nazarean Christian Congregation, is the result of a split during World War II which had to do with disagreements in caving to Communist demands in Yugoslavia. This church also split into two sides during the early 2000s. Australia/Oceana[edit]Australia has several Apostolic Christian Church(Nazarean) churches. In Papua New Guinea there are many Good News Churchs that were started by the ACCN and Vic Schlatter from the Leo, IN ACCA church. Africa[edit]In Africa, there are several missionary outreaches, and church plants, one that has over 200 churches. Other Churches with Froelich Influence[edit]There are also many Churches such as the Evangelical Mennonite Church that have direct ties to the Froelich revival and it's effect on various other denominations.
